Default Free WIFI

Sometimes you can get free access to wifi from hotels. In Kenly NC, TA truck stop. if you park close to the hotel you can pick up their wifi free.

Exit 203 off I-35 in Oklahoma. There's a Conoco with a Dairy Queen and they have free WiFi through AT&T. It's fast and reliable with no bandwidth restrictions. Nice little place. I got there about 9:00 pm and still had plenty of parking up front and plenty of room to pull through with no backing.

Default Help Jeff or anyone else if you can.

I just purchased 2 Dell XPS laptops 1 for me and one for the wife. We will be teaming up and I wanted her to be able to stay in touch back home and allow myself to be online and surf the trucking sites at the same time.

First off I had an ATT air card installed and just activated it last week. So far it works fine as long as we are in an area with good cell coverage but drops out when we are in motion especially along the PA turnpike. My first question is their a device that will improve my laptops ability to stay connected while in motion (kinda like a cellular amplifier for a cell phone but designed for data transmission) for a laptop?

My second question is; Do you know how to network these 2 laptops together so I may get away with not activating another air card in her laptop? I tried the ad hoc network and even an ethernet wired connection but apparently I am in over my head. I read the wizards and instructions but the best I was able to get was a connection with limited connectivity.

1st I use Sprint Air Card and it seems to work really well while in motion.of course it goes in and out of high speed environments.

2nd If your both using windows vista and both have wifi cards you can just simply create a peer to peer connection and share internet and files.

You can stop in to almost any computer shop, and get a USB crossover cable. You can then plug them together and you should be able to set up the network.

You will have to enable sharing on both computers so that they can get into each others hard drives. (hide those "lonely night" pictures)
