Default Good buddy is slang for homosexual now a days.

I believe Dragon is showing his age here (lol). Many moons ago "thank you good buddy" was in fact the courteous way to respond to other drivers on the cb, but no more.
Beginning in the late 80's to early 90's Good buddy was changed into a derogatory remark implying the user was calling the other guy a queer. It is unfortunate that this happened but important to be aware of the current usage so a driver does not unintentionally offend others.

Other tips for identifying homosexual activity I have heard over the years (just to be clear here I listened and learned over the years so as to AVOID these jokers not to join them).
1.A cb mic clicking a couple of times to clear the air then a voice calling out a number is usually an invitation to go to a different channel and hook up.
2. When pulling into a rest area watch for a parked vehicles brake lights to flash. This may be an invitation to stop by and hook up.

What channels are you guys on, sometimes 19, sometimes 17, then when I scan I hear everybody on an different band.
Some guy told me that I should monitor 19; going North to South, and 17 going west to east, is that right?
Is that right?
In California from Los Angeles South to North on Highway 5 and 99, you run Ch15 to Highway 46 (lost Hills) same with Hwy 99. then you change to Ch 17 all the way to Washington.
East to West should be 19 but if I am still in the central California/ San Joaquin Valley Ill run 17 or 15 depending which side of th 46 I am.

Yeah, then north of HWY 46 to the Canadian border it's ch.17.
I mainly listen to the XM or my Ipod but I have a group of guys that I run with once I get to HWY 41 all the way to the bay but we mainly have our own side channel, 10-4.

I'll usually have mine on, but when I get around bigger cities I turn it off just to avoid all the idiots who have nothing better to do but sit around at home with a base station and harass truck drivers.

By the way, if anyone gets frustrated with the guy in Springfield, IL that does that and wants to visit him, I have his address.
