What you say about CB conversation and the airways being filled with trash talk, is sad and true. I tend to keep it on when I am not on the phone, though. Last winter heading north to Salina and the west to Denver, thanks to helpful truckers, I was warned in advance of which bridges had ice, not to head west towards Denver due to poor visibility, to wait it out until morning and when headed back east of Limon, I heard warnings about black ice and a 50-60 vehicle pileup west bound, just in time for me to slow down before I hit the ice on my side of I-70. I say thank God for the CB and thank truckers for going that extra mile for someone they've never met.
