Dropping trailers on un-reinforced pavement will result in huge holes and damage to the lot. Most drivers do not realize the pavement is usually only three or four inches thick and find out after they punch holes in the lot that is why they have a "no drop" policy.

Same concept for big trucks at Wal-Marts. Although the drivers do not drop their trailers they do extensive damage to the lightweight paving jobs designed for 4 wheelers. Besides leaving trash, running over curbs and islands, and even bumping parked cars it is no wonder to me why Wal-Marts have also instituted policies against big trucks. Of course you can still go to Wal-Mart with your big truck but you should park it in the back where the deliveries are made. At least that area has re-inforced concrete to withstand the weight of the supply trucks.
